Recent builds
across Minnesota.

From multi-level cedar platforms in Minnesota's lake country to large elevated family decks across the Twin Cities metro — we specialize in builds 400 sq ft and larger, including custom heavy-timber decks, pavilions, and outdoor structures throughout central MN, northern MN and the Arrowhead. Every project starts with structural drawings and finishes with a 10-year structural and 2-year workmanship warranty.

— 02 / What We Build

From decks to
full pavilions.

Specialists in structural carpentry. We don't sub out the framing — every joist, post, and connector is set by our own crew, working from sealed engineer drawings on every elevated project.

— 01

Large Elevated Decks

Multi-story platforms over walk-out basements and sloped lots — our specialty is custom decks 400 sq ft and larger across Minnesota. 6×6 PT or solid-cedar posts (8×8 optional on long spans), engineered footings, full lateral bracing, and structural steel knife plates at every connection.

  • Single & multi-level platforms
  • Code-stamped engineering on builds 30"+
  • Stair runs, landings, switchbacks
— 02

Outdoor Structures

Pavilions, deck-roofs, three-season porches, and pergolas built into the existing deck framing. Heavy-timber trusses with exposed steel hardware — designed to be looked at, not hidden.

  • Gable and shed-roof pavilions
  • Heavy-timber trusses & ridge beams
  • Tongue-and-groove ceilings
— 03

Railings & Stairs

Powder-coated aluminum, custom welded steel, or matched cedar — every system fully integrated with the framing rather than surface-mounted. Stair stringers cut on site and stained to spec.

  • Aluminum & steel cable rail
  • Custom timber rail to match house
  • Lighted stair treads & post caps
— 04

Restoration & Rebuilds

Tear-down and replacement of failed decks. We assess existing footings and ledger flashing first, then rebuild to current code with materials chosen to outlast the structure they're attached to.

  • Failed-ledger remediation
  • Footing & post replacement
  • Resurface over sound framing
— 03 / How We Work

A clear path from
first call to first cookout.

Most decks fail because of decisions made in the first 30 minutes — wrong post spacing, undersized ledger, missing flashing. We slow down at the start so the build, and the deck, can move quickly.

STEP / 01

Site visit & scoping

We walk the property, photograph the existing structure, take ledger and elevation measurements, and discuss how you actually use the outdoor space. Phone ballpark estimates are always free. A site-visit estimate — with a dialed-in design and itemized quote — is $500, fully credited back to your project when you proceed with us.

Phone ballpark: free · On-site design visit: $500 (credited)
STEP / 02

Drawings & fixed bid

Within 7 days you receive a measured plan, elevation, post layout, and a fixed price — itemized by material and labor. Engineering review for any elevated platform is included in this stage.

5–7 business days
STEP / 03

Permit & materials

We pull the permit on your behalf, schedule the inspection windows, and stage materials at the site the day before framing starts. Lumber is hand-selected for grade — no bowed posts.

2–3 weeks lead time
STEP / 04

Build & inspect

One crew, start to finish. Footings inspected before pour, framing inspected before decking goes down. We post daily progress photos to a shared album so you can follow along even if you're out of town.

2–4 weeks on-site
STEP / 05

Walkthrough & warranty

Final inspection together, punch list cleared on the spot, every fastener torqued. You get a digital file with as-built drawings, finish specs, and a written warranty: 10-year structural on framing & connections, 2-year workmanship on finishes and details.

10-yr structural · 2-yr workmanship
— 04 / Materials

The right wood
for the right job.

We don't push one product line. We spec materials for how the deck will actually be used — sun exposure, foot traffic, snow load, and how often you want to think about it again.
